Punarjani Cultural Centre, Munnar

Punarjani Cultural Centre is a popular place in Munnar where visitors can enjoy the traditional art and culture of Kerala. It is a traditional village which is known as a rich cultural centre. It helps preserve Kerala's famous art forms. 

The main shows at Punjarani are Kathakali, a classical dance-drama and Kalaripayattu, an ancient martial art. Kathakali performers wear bright costumes, heavy makeup, and use strong facial expressions and hand gestures to tell stories from Indian epics.

Munnar bus stand is located at a distance of around 8.3 KM from the Punarjani traditional village. Also, Anachal bus stand is the nearest stop at a distance of around 5.2 KM from this village. You can take a local taxi or bus from either of the stops. KSRTC frequently runs buses in this route for every 30 minutes.
