Shakti sthal/veer bhumi, Delhi

Shakti Sthal is a national memorial located near Raj Ghat in New Delhi and is dedicated to India's first lady Prime Minister Indira Gandhi who was killed in 1984. The memorial was built on the site where she was cremated. The name "Shakti Sthal" means Place of Strength which symbolizes her powerful leadership and determination.

In the middle of memorial, a large monolithic rock of iron ore is present which reprsents stamina and courage qualities associated with Indira Gandhi. The open and peaceful landscape allows visitors to reflect on her life and contribution in a respectful environment.

Delhi bus stand is located at a distance of around 4.4 KM from the Shakti Sthal and Old Delhi railway station is located at a distance of around 3.8 KM from the sthal. You can reach there by taking a local bus or taxi from either of the stops.
