Karnataka State Handicrafts Development Corporation Limited, was established in the year 1964. It preserves, develops and promote handicrafts. These include sandalwood carvings, rosewood decoration, lacquer ware & toys, Mysore traditional paintings, stone carvings, traditional jewellery, pile carpets and more. Karnataka state is known for its handicraft industry and its unique, traditional masterpieces which are made from a variety of materials. 

Significance Of Cauvery Handicrafts:

Indian arts and crafts are in demand all over the world for its artistic work. KSHDCL trains craftsmen in creating new designs in mediums like sandalwood, rosewood, lacquer and bronze and it looks after requirements of the handicraft industry.Cauvery Handicrafts Emporium is the Karnataka Government's emporium. They offer a variety of classical & contemporary products including sandalwood products, rosewood products, bidriware, metal crafts and paintings.
