Yagachi dam was constructed in 2001 across Yagachi river with a length of 1280 meters. It has a Gross Storage Capacity of 3.17 Tmcft(thousand million cubic feet). Yagachi along with Votehole serves the purpose of irrigation and drinking water for the cities of Belur, Chikkamaguluru, Arsikere and Hassan.
